It is a touching story that shows true love still exists. Nie Jianwen, 39, is a truck driver from Longnan in Gansu province, in northwestern China. Cao Yingying, his wife, suffered a brain hemorrhage in 2020, leaving her paralyzed.

Nie’s mother was already caring for two young children when Cao fell ill. So he decided to take his wife on the road with him so he can care for her full-time. He drives the truck as well as acting as Cao’s caretaker, helping his wife with her daily needs and medical exercises.

Turning a truck into a home and a medical gym is an amazing undertaking

Having a medical background, I know how hard it is getting a proper medical gym going in a home. To see someone pack those necessities into an Asian-style cabover truck amazes me. While the truck is being loaded or emptied, Nie provides physical therapy to Cao. He helps her exercise and they walk around the properties.

Cao is now able to walk two kilometers at a time. This follows the hard work both Nie and Cao have put into her recovery. Nie’s wish is to be able to afford a more spacious truck so they can have more room for Cao’s needs.

What would you do for your true love?

Nie has loved Cao since the day he laid eyes on her. He worked hard to gain her love and eventually they married. Now with her disabilities, he shows the world how much he loves her through his actions.
