On March 1 at 7:49 p.m. MST, Morgan County Fire & EMS along with Mountain Green Fire District volunteers received a vehicle fire call on an I-84 off-ramp. When firefighters arrived, the truck was fully engulfed in flames and the unnamed driver was nearby safe, but in some shock.
The truck fire took several hours to contain, but luckily the driver was not injured in the incident. – Facebook: Morgan County Fire & EMS
The Exit 103 off-ramp was closed completely to traffic as fire crews worked several hours to get the fire under control in the harsh winds blowing through Utah that evening. The driver was able to tell the paramedics that he was on his way to deliver his final load capping off a 40-year career when the fire began.
The driver was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and was released. The cause of the fire has not been reported and the incident is still under investigation.
