Richie is an advocate for true trucker independence – properly running your own trucking company. Richie explains sometimes it is not just inner city deliveries he makes, but sometimes he heads to other major freight hubs, like Harrisburg and Chicago.
Justin and Richie go into a deep discussion about the difference between monopoly and monopsony in dealing with independent truckers. Are we truly independent truckers if anyone else has a say in how we do business?
Richie gives his opinion on the situation in California and AB5 and solutions on how truckers can get into compliance with the new standard. He also warns that similar laws are in the works on the East Coast as well.
