On the morning of June 15 outside Rantoul, Illinois, there was quite a messy situation when a tractor trailer carrying supposedly recalled Jif Peanut Butter overturned. The tractor caught fire, spreading to the trailer and igniting the packaging inside.

The intense heat not only scorched the peanut butter, but melted it, making an oozy mess on the shoulder of the road. Feldkamps Towing of Urbana, Illinois, was called in to handle the incident cleanup. The company had to bring in extra equipment when its staff saw the mess they had to deal with.
With track-hoe and dump trailer, they slowly worked their way through the 44,000-pound pile of melted goop. Feldkamps thanked the local District 10 fire department for its help in containing the spill.
