Tender rejections jump to 29.18% In Omaha!

SONAR helps you smell like a shark.

    No, not like that.

It gives you the ability to smell as well as sharks.

I mean, it gives you shark-like smelling powers? Let’s go with that…

Sharks can smell blood in the water up to one-quarter of a mile away. I’m going to guess most of you are more than a quarter of a mile away from Omaha.

The SONAR OTRI view dashboard below could have helped you pick up that scent early.

SONAR OTRI view is interactive to provide quick freight market analysis

The map in the upper left corner is interactive. When a market is “clicked on” the other widgets will display the details of the selected freight market.

Omaha is in deep blue – meaning the market is very tight on capacity. It also indicates a significant tightening in the market over the last 24 hours.

In the upper right corner is a breakdown of KPIs. This is a slight head haul market at a 19.23 index.

The fact makes knowing the current capacity trends even more important. Sudden changes in a market may go unnoticed and if you’re a driver or a shipper this could mean leaving money on the table.

The most rejected length of haul out of Omaha is the long-haul, which will easily get you back to the larger outbound freight markets. The chart in the lower-left corner provides information on all lengths of haul.

The tight market is being driven by dry van capacity as the chart in the lower right indicates.

    Know your markets.

    Get ahead of the curve.

    Smell like a shark.

34 years in this industry. I've learned a few things. There is always a way to screw up a shipment, always. Vacations are just remote work. Never pass up a bathroom. Conferences are marathons, not sprints. Your word and integrity are your greatest assets. Oh, and not everyone likes the Circle Jerks. Peace and Love.
