Ohio is clean out of reefer!
Toledo, Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio (and even Fort Wayne, Indiana) are running out of reefer capacity!
Omaha, Cape Girardeau, and Cedar Rapids and Dubuque, Iowa lead the nation in tight dry van capacity.
It’s Sunday, let’s make this quick.
The SONAR dashboard below is busy, yet extremely useful providing quick results. That’s what we are after on a Sunday anyway, correct?

Middle top: Reefer load tender rejections in color. The volume of load tenders is the elevation.
Middle bottom: The exact same map set for dry van loads.
Left side: Heat map list of dry van tender rejections by market.
Right side: The exact same heat map list set to reefer.
With this dashboard, you are able to see the national freight market from two perspectives at the same time and make key decisions quickly.
For this exercise I used reefer.
The map shows me all the locations where capacity is getting tight and where load volumes are building.
Sorting the heat map list to the right by the value of change overnight I can see which markets are feeling the most reefer capacity volatility coming out of the weekend.
The same can be done for dry van on the left side of the dashboard.
Bring on Monday; I have my plan!
