If you’re looking for crappy rates per mile and want to spend all day waiting for them, then you need to head to Florida!
Florida sucks the most time from drivers in the country, led by Miami in the top spot of the nation at 172 minutes. Lakeland and Jacksonville also landed in the top five worst time-suck offenders at 171 and 155 minutes respectively.

Wait times overall appear to be on the decline as far as the number of markets reducing their “suckage” of time. However, the offenders in white are not playing around!
Talk about a drive to the top, Miami jumped 22.9% – or 32 minutes – to take the lead position in the national rankings.

At 172 minutes Miami barely edged out Lakeland, while Jacksonville rounds out the top five in the country. These three markets firmly place Florida atop the Time Suck charts.
Meanwhile, if you’re heading into Erie, Pennsylvania, you’re looking at the lowest wait times in the nation. Tucson, Arizona, isn’t a bad market either from a time suck perspective.
