Reefer capacity takes it on the chin in Twin Falls!
The SONAR chart agrees as we see Idaho turning a deeper shade of blue on the outbound tender rejection map in the upper right corner. This means that volumes are causing capacity to tighten and carriers are opting out of a higher percentage of contracted tenders.
Clicking on the market of Twin Falls, Idaho, we see a market table in the upper right corner that gives further insight.
Outbound volume volatility has dropped. However, rejections have increased overall by 9.03%, which is a strong increase for this market. In addition to the rejections, the Haul index has moved strongly toward the outbound side. This further creates an imbalance of capacity.
Tender lead times have increased to 4.37 days as well. This always indicates an uptick in produce shipments.
The bottom right corner confirms the evidence pointing toward produce as we see reefer tender rejections in orange more than doubling in the last week.
The bottom left indicates that all lengths of haul are being impacted, but mid-haul is at a 39.15% rejection rate.
