Going with your gut is important in truck driving. That basic instinct can alert you to danger or be helpful in some situations.
Tim Allen, a trucker from Pittsylvania County, Virginia, stopped for a snack at Mills Grill & Grocery at 8481 Mount Cross Road, just outside Danville, Virginia. His gut feeling kicked in, and for the first time in his life, bought some tickets for Virginia Lottery’s Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.
The decision changed his life, as he won one of the five $1 million grand prizes. He hasn’t said what he plans to do with the money yet. “I couldn’t believe it,” Allen told Virginia Lottery officials. “It was the first time I’d bought a raffle ticket.”
