Nothing makes my blood boil like crimes involving innocent children. An eight-month-old is among four people that are currently missing after a man kidnapped the family at gunpoint at their new business office.
The kidnaping occurred on Monday. The Merced Sheriff’s Office held an update conference with camera footage.
A daylight kidnapping has rattled the Merced, California area as a family of four – including an eight-month-old toddler, are still unaccounted for. A suspect is in custody, but in critical condition after he tried to commit suicide.
Jasdeep Singh, his wife Jasleen Kaur, their baby, Aroohi Dheri, and uncle, Amandeep Singh are still missing after being zip-tied and led out at gunpoint. Their truck, a black 2020 Dodge Ram pickup, was found burning later by police and firefighters.
Jesus Manuel Salgado, 48, is in a hospital under heavy guard after his suicide attempt. Family members of Salgado told investigators that he had admitted to being a part of the kidnapping.
Salgado served 10 years in prison for a 2005 home invasion robbery with a gun, witness intimidation and attempted false imprisonment. The victims weren’t hurt. He was released in June 2015.
