Hot-lanta is heating up with increasing rejections
This Sunday Market Reset is all about the Atlanta market. It is still the national leader in volume and now it’s moving the national rejection needle upward.
Rejections in Atlanta have been moving up for the past 7 days.
The SONAR dashboard below is a Sunday favorite. The MAP shows weighted rejections in color and outbound truckload volumes in elevation. The darker blue of the Atlanta tower is not something we have seen in quite some time.
Volumes are elevated in Atlanta and the market is blue on the Weighted Rejection Index (WRI) map. Not just blue, but a fairly dark shade. That means that capacity is tightening significantly.
The lower left corner is a chart of outbound tender rejections that signifies the tightness of capacity. There has been a bounce off of the floor in the last week that is proving to be a sustained new trend in Atlanta.
The treemap to the right displays the tender rejections by lane origin in Atlanta. The green signifies a lane that has increasing rejections (or tightening capacity). There are very few lanes that are red.
Atlanta is a tight market for capacity and offers the most loads in the nation.
Looks like a great market to start my week.
Peace and love.
