First, we had tomatoes ground into one gnarly sauce over in Vacaville, California. Now, a truckload of alfredo sauce jars splattered across I-55 in Memphis. Who’s calling the Vegas bookies to put money down on whether we’ll get some form of pasta-involved incident today?
And it happens to be my favorite brand of alfredo sauce as well
At around 4:45 p.m. on August 30, a truck pulling a trailer load of alfredo sauce jars hit the overpass of Riverside Boulevard. The collision ripped the front driver side of the trailer open, dumping pallets of sauce onto the interstate.
Similar to the California tomato spill, all that delicious sauce got smeared for several hundred feet by oncoming traffic until the lanes were blocked off. Traffic is seen bypassing the incident by using the shoulder lane.
Tow truck companies responding to the incident had a slippery job of securing what remained of the cargo. A bobcat loader is seen on social media scooping the sludge of wasted sauce and road debris into a refuse trailer.
Any bets on a pasta load being involved in an accident today?
Usually when you see two somewhat-related incidents, you can’t help but laugh. Traffic incidents are a serious matter, but you must have a sense of humor when dealing with the headlines.
